The statistics are that Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) affects 5-10% of women of childbearing age, personally I think the numbers should be much higher. For nearly all pre-menopausal women and close to 15% of post menopausal women ovarian cyst symptoms are likely to occur at least once in their lives. One of the first indicators of cysts is generally pain in the abdomen and even the lower back and legs.

Most women associate ovarian cysts with fertility and menstruation disruptions, which are also a key indicator. Irregular menstrual periods or lack of menstrual periods are common in this case due to hormonal imbalance in the body. Women who experience ovarian cysts frequently show slightly higher than average levels of androgens, or male sexual hormones.

This small imbalance leads to a large result on the body, luckily it can be corrected without medication. The disruption of ovulation and regular menstrual cycles leads to another serious ovarian cyst symptom, infertility.

Unfortunately many ovarian cysts sufferers also battle with physical changes such as acne, thinning of the hair and increased bodily hair growth – due to increased levels of testosterone. Many women feel that these physical ovarian cyst symptoms lead to an increased level of stress, which is also a major factor.

During times of stress the body releases cortisol, a chemical that impacts the way that the body deals with glucose. Insulin resistance, a metabolic disorder in which the body does not properly respond to the release of insulin into the blood stream is a major factor in ovarian cysts and PCOS or polycyctst ovarian syndrome. This link creates a self-reinforcing, negative reaction that perpetuates cysts over and over again.

Insulin resistance often leads to weight gain, which is reported by many ovarian cyst sufferers. This is directly related to elevated blood sugar – in this constant state, sugars are not metabolized, but rather stored as excess body fat.

Other ovarian cysts symptoms include painful menstruation, spotting between periods, pelvic and abdominal pain during periods, pressure in the abdomen and a feeling of constant fullness, nausea, breast tenderness and difficulty emptying the bladder.

As you can see the many ovarian cyst symptoms are tremendously bothersome and can even be described as disruptive to ever day life. For some women, they are crippling, causing pain, stress and inability to function normally on a day-to-day basis.

Before you begin any treatment regime, please consult your doctor for proper diagnosis. In order to address the complex system that is at work here rather than treating only one symptom at a time, the best method for permanently ridding the body of ovarian cyst symptoms and cysts themselves is the natural and holistic method. This is also the only safe and 100% side effect free way to treat this illness.

Yahoo! UK News Message Boards – Pregnancy – No IVF for the overweight?

what are u about 15 get a life

About 10% of the female population are stricken by PCOS, a condition which has a multitude of horrendous physical and emotional effects including diabetes, unwanted hair growth, high cholesterol, and more. But the biggest PCOS symptom is infertility.

The reason is that PCOS is characterized by ovarian cysts, growths which appear on the ovaries, often filling with blood or rupturing. Regardless of the pain and discomfort this can cause, ovarian cysts also harbor a greater danger: they drastically reduce the chances of you ever getting pregnant. In fact, while you have them, and as long as they’re left untreated, ovarian cysts are disrupting the natural development of your reproductive eggs.

Now, before you begin asking yourself whether or not you want to get pregnant in the near future, realize this: this is something you have to take care of urgently unless you’re willing to take the risk of it deteriorating further.

The reproduction system can’t be turned on and off like a switch. When the time comes for you to become pregnant, you must be at the top of your health. This means that you mustn’t let your PCOS develop. You have to find a remedy for your PCOS.

The bad news is that traditional medicine has not stepped up to the plate as of yet so an all around cure for PCOS has yet to be arrived at. However, there are natural PCOS treatments which are highly effective in many cases and can actually make your PCOS symptoms evaporate. Of course, this means that you will need to make some life changes, eat more healthy, do some exercise, and be committed to improving your health.

However, unless you wish to one day be forced to undergo invasive surgery to remove your ovarian cysts and allow you to have children, you must take steps to treat your PCOS now. You can become free of this condition. Just take the first step.
