Do you agree with this? Can we really blame a nations obesity problem on the fashion industry or should we simply take responsibility for ourselves?

Back with more news for you today. It’s amazing how much good information there is on this stuff out there if you know where to look. Three in particular that I found really valuable were…

The researchers wanted to find a long-lasting treatment for PCOS that would have no adverse side effects, and so they looked at whether acupuncture or exercise could decrease the sympathetic nerve activity in women with PCOS. …

I was shocked to find out nearly 35% of women in India have PCOS. It is a no brainer why we would have got this as health awareness is very less in India. Our diet is full of refined foods and sugar and there is no sign of this epidemic …

If you have been diagnosed with PCOS, don't panic. It is not such a worst thing in the world as the name sounds. You are one of those people who are lucky enough to get diagnosed with PCOS, for most women it is left undiagnosed. …

Risks And Complications Of Ovarian Cysts

Understanding ovarian cysts:
Ovarian cysts are fluid filled sacks, which are formed within the ovary. Cysts, which are bigger than two centimeters, are formally diagnosed as ovarian cysts. Many ovarian cysts are functional in nature. That is, they are beginning and rarely ever cause complications. However in some cases, the cysts may develop certain complications. Risks and complications of ovarian cysts depend on the type of cyst and the stage of treatment. Some types of risks complications, which are associated with ovarian cysts, include the following.

1.Ruptured ovarian cyst: This is one the most serious form of complication. Ruptured ovarian cyst can lead to internal bleeding and in some cases it can be very dangerous. Ruptured ovarian cyst can cause hemorrhage, which requires immediate medical attention.

2.Ovarian torsion: Sometimes, there is also twisting of the ovary, which can lead to infertility. Ovarian torsion may disturb blood supply to the ovary as well. This leads to another complication called as ovarian necrosis, which leads inflammation and septic shock

3.Peritonitis: Pertitonitis is the inflammation of the mucus membrane. As this membrane lines the abdomen cavity, it can cause excruciating pain and in some cases the resulting complications can be life threatening.

4.Infertility: Infertility caused by ovarian cysts can be temporary or permanent depending upon the extent of the damage. Hence, women suffering from ovarian cysts and those desirous of starting a family should take ovarian cysts really seriously.

5.Cancer: In rare but significant instances, ovarian cysts may even turn cancerous. The patient will then require the usual cancer treatment along with surgery, where generally both the ovaries are removed.

Besides these serious complications and risks, ovarian cysts also lead to excruciating pain and hormonal imbalance. This can affect the mental and emotional well being of the patient as well. However, conventional medicine very rarely pays attention to the mental and emotional complications that may develop because of ovarian cysts. The treatment options can cause many side effects like loss of fertility, weight gain, and reoccurrence of stronger cysts. Therefore, many women find it difficult to co
1000
pe with the demands of the conventional treatment, which can worsen an already difficult condition.

Hence, to overcome the risks and complications of ovarian cysts along with the disease, you will need a, more comprehensive and holistic approach. Holistic approach is very effective as it treats the root cause of the condition and not the symptoms. Symptoms are attractive propositions to treat as relief in symptoms give a false sense of security. However, holistic approach shatters this conventional thinking by clearly eliminating the root cause. Therefore, holistic approach can not only treat ovarian cysts, but can also prevent the risks and complications of ovarian cysts in the bargain.

For many women, being diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a blessing, and a curse. They are so relieved to finally know what has been causing all these problems for such a long time; having a diagnosis means that you can finally begin treatment. However, after being diagnosed with such a difficult condition, many women feel lost, scared and confused often thinking…. Now what?

First off, educate yourself. This involves asking questions of your doctor, tons of questions! But don’t stop there…. do your own research as well! Go to the library, or research the internet, do whatever you can to learn about PCOS. Find out what treatments are available, what’s involved, the side affects, etc. Not only will this help you understand the condition and all that comes with it, but you will not feel so lost because you now know what to expect and what is needed to control it.

Second, seek out others. Find a support group, whether it be an online forum or message board, or a local support group for women with PCOS. Being around others with the same condition can help you in ways you never thought possible. Hearing their stories, finding out what treatments they used, and just supporting each other through the difficult times is one of the best ways to deal with PCOS. Do not go through it alone, especially when there are so many other women dealing with this condition who are in need of a friend, just like you!

Third, decide on a “plan of attack”. For those who were diagnosed at a young age, you may be thinking about children; Do you want kids….will you be able to have them? Do the research and decide what you will need to do, or what you are open to trying in order to make this happen. If you’ve had your children, or do not want any, you may be concerned about the health risks that come along with the condition (i.e. increased chance of stroke and heart disease). Find out what medications or natural supplements are out there that can assist you in fighting these health risks. Making a plan will help you decide the best treatment(s) for your PCOS and its symptoms. It may also help you feel more in control of the condition, instead of feeling like the condition controls you.

There is no cure for PCOS, however that does not mean it has to run your life. Following the steps outline above can help you keep control of your health, and your sanity!

PCOS holistic treatment- dr. near san jose?

Hi
I was diagnosed with PCOS three months ago. Since then I've lost around 10 pounds and my general and hormonal health seem to be improving. However, I'm having a terrible time finding a doctor in the bay area who will look at PCOS holistically rather than pushing Clomid at me (i'm ttc). I know Clomid is a successful method of treatment, but I wish to find a doctor who will first identify how many cysts I have and monitor it as I continue to lose weight.. How do I find such a doc? Can I request a phone consultation with a doctor? What kinds of tests do I ask for to detect the number of cysts? (some kind of ultrasound?)

Have you been told by your doctor that you need to undergo a hysterectomy? If so, then you should know as much as possible about the facts behind hysterectomy and its possible alternatives before deciding to go through with the procedure.

To learn if this is the right choice for you, there is an important need for you to understand that hysterectomy is an elective type of surgery. You should also know if it is needed when it comes to saving your life. Remember that while hysterectomy might give you relief from your ailment, it is vital that you look into its alternatives first.

Why Hysterectomy is Necessary

Although you can opt to not undergo hysterectomy even if your physician recommends it, there are conditions that really warrant this procedure to be done. Severe infections, invasive cancers found in a woman’s reproductive system, uterine rupture, and severe hemorrhaging are some of the conditions absolutely requiring hysterectomy. Other conditions that could be relieved with the procedure include fibroid tumors, uterine prolapse, certain hyperplasia cases, endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain.

Hysterectomy and its Types

Hysterectomy involves the removal of certain female reproductive organs. There are different types of hysterectomy.

* Subtotal hysterectomy. This calls only for the removal of the uterus.

* Total hysterectomy. This is the removal of the cervix and the uterus

* Radical hysterectomy. Also known as hysterectomy with bilateral salpingoophorectomy, this involves the removal of the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

* Supracervical hysterectomy. This does not include the removal of the cervix and it is usually an option for women who have never experienced a unacceptable pap smear.

Surgical Menopause

The removal of both ovaries during a hysterectomy procedure leads to the immediate and possible intense onset of symptoms for menopause. Termed as surgical menopause, this often brings on menopausal symptoms that are considerably more severe than normal menopause and these include longer-lasting and frequent hot flashes. Because of this, it is very important to know your options regarding hormonal replacement before going through hysterectomy.

Recovering from Hysterectomy

You are to expect fatigue and pain after having a hysterectomy because these are normal experiences during the recovery period following a surgical procedure. Recovery from hysterectomy usually takes from a period of four to eight weeks.

You should refrain from having sexual intercourse after a hysterectomy until your physician tells you that it is safe. You are to avoid any pulling, lifting, or pushing activities while you are recovering from the operation and these include lifting children. Even if you feel that you are already all right, you should still not attempt to do any strenuous activities during the set recovery period following hysterectomy.

Hysterectomy’s Effect on Your Sex Life

Hysterectomy leads to the fast decline of sexual hormones. Because of this, women who have a hysterectomy might no longer feel the uterine contractions that normally happen during orgasm. Removal of the cervix will also cause a likely change in the manner penetration may be felt. The vaginal dryness that comes after hysterectomy can be alleviated with the utilization of vaginal lubricants or the intake or administration of replacement hormones. Because of this, there are still women who found their sex life to have been greatly enhanced even after hysterectomy.

What are other (additional) ways to calm it down? Does anyone know any good websites for PCOS in particular having to do with nausea, vomiting and gas? and how to stop it?

Our bodies are highly complex entities and so whenever there is a problem with one part of our body it is therefore logical then that other parts of the body should also find that their effectiveness and productivity is equally compromised. There is not a single part of the body which operates in complete and total isolation from the remainder of the organs and this is why whenever a person is afflicted with a health complaint that there treatment of it is especially straightforward.

PCOS is a rather cruel illness in that it specifically targets women only, and whilst there is no definitive answer as to what precisely causes it, the medical community has tentatively identified that the females diet and eating regime can play a rather significant role in the development of the condition. Studies have shown that women who are either overweight or who have managed to gain a lot of weight in a short space of time will be at a higher risk of contracting the illness. However, the excess weight problem does not end there because such females may find that despite their best efforts (i.e. changing their eating regime as well as increasing the amount of active exercise they undertake) they seem cursed with weight gain.

If you find that you have been diagnosed with PCOS and still suffer from weight gain then there is a good chance that you suffer from insulin resistance PCOS. Insulin resistance PCOS is an especially problematic form of PCOS because it specifically and directly interferes with the production of insulin within the body, which means that such women are at an especially high and severe risk of contracting a number of health complaints.

These include the likes of cancer, cardiovascular related dysfunctions such as heart attack, diabetes and strokes. As can be plainly seen, insulin resistance PCOS is not a matter to be taken lightly or to be underestimated in any way.

In order to combat the vicious cycle of impaired insulin production, physicians will typically prescribe a medication known as “Metformin”. Whilst it is highly popular in treating and directly countering the worst effects of insulin resistance PCOS, it should be noted that Metformin does come with a number of health risks associated with it and so the person suffering from insulin resistance PCOS should make sure that they take a good long think as to whether or not the benefits outweigh the risks.

Eliminate Ovarian Cysts Naturally – Little Known Secret To Stop Ovarian Cysts Pain Now!

A lot of women are not told that their is a natural cure for their ovarian cysts when they go see the doctor. These treatments have been known to be more effective than medications prescribed by a doctor. Most of the time, doctors will encourage women to take pills that they don’t need because they will just cover up the symptoms. Taking hormonal pills will do nothing to prevent future ovarian cysts from developing.

Surgery can take care of any cysts on the ovary, but it will not prevent future cysts from developing. Sometimes surgery can be dangerous and a most of the time it is unnecessary. You need to focus on what is causing the cysts, and this is exactly what the natural treatment for ovarian cysts does. You can reduce the inflammation, pain, and pressure on your lower pelvic area by applying heat. The best way to achieve this is by using a heating pad or taking a nice warm bath. It is important to care care of your cysts as soon as possible so you will not have to go the doctor.

A lot of doctors do not tell their patients that by increasing your vitamins, water, and fiber intake you are much less likely to develop cysts in the future. When their is too much pressure on the reproductive organs, cysts can develop and become real painful. This is why you should not depend on surgery for long term relief. When you change your lifestyle habits you won’t have to depend on surgery for relief from this condition. There is an alternative to treat your condition other than surgery.
A Natural Treatment For The Removal Of Ovarian Cysts

The removal of ovarian cysts can for many women be a frightening prospect, particularly because in some cases a doctor will want to remove the entire ovary instead of cutting the cyst out. For women like you, this just is not an option, especially if you are interested in having children, or are just daunted by the hormonal imbalance issues of getting rid of your ovaries.

Rare thinking people like yourself already know that most cysts will go away on their own, with no medical interference whatsoever. This for you is good news since it shows that you don’t inevitably have to go through surgery or have your hormone levels checked. Unfortunately such treatment does little to help you in the short-term. As you are becoming aware living with the abdominal pain, the bloating, the fatigue, and anxiety that ovarian cysts cause is totally unnecessary.

Today many women are turning to natural treatments to rid them selves of not only their cysts, but all the baggage that comes along with them. There is no reason why you should suffer. One quick remedy you can try at home to alleviate severe abdominal pain is to use a heating pad and drink some herbal tea. Also by Increasing your fiber and water intake you can reduce abdominal pressure.

Envision yourself being able to live your life without the every day pelvic pain and discomfort that ovarian cysts bring. The good news is that natural treatments for ovarian cysts provide a long term solution that will allow you to keep your ovaries and enjoy life once more. Scientists have proven that with a few simple lifestyle changes, the hormonal stress or insulin imbalances can be reversed and set you on your way to healthy ovaries again.

The removal of ovarian cysts does not have to come from your doctor’s office, by applying certain techniques you will be able to achieve more than you thought possible from the safety and comfort of your own home.

Why An Ovarian Cyst Pain Occurs?

Ovarian cyst pain is an inauspicious realness for most of the women throughout their life span. Due to the complexness in the female reproductive system and the procedure of the monthly menstrual cycle, periodic irregularities take place that can also originate ovarian cysts.

Both types of cysts i.e. simple and complex can cause pain during or after the menstrual cycle. If the cyst is functional then there will be a premenstrual pain as it is reacting to the higher denseness of blood-borne hormones taking place during the stage of the menstruation. Some other reason for the pain during the period of menstruation is because having a cyst which is called as an endometrioma.

Growth of an endometrioma, also called as chocolate cyst or endometriod cyst. This specific condition takes place when the tissues that usually arise in the uterus originate outside the uterus, within the peritoneal cavity. The tissues of uterus incline to arise on the surfaces of some other organs in the pelvis or the belly.
Endometrioma developed when these tissues arise on the ovary.

The chances of growing Endometriosis are only between 1 to 10%. These tissues can grow on the surface of any organ in the peritoneal cavity. It has to be remarked that more than eighty percent of pelvicendometriosis is discovered in one or both the ovaries. Endometriomas can be as big as 8 inches and is filled up with dark, reddish brown blood. These can block most of the ovary that causes infertility.

Few women feel no symptoms even though endometrioma is present. However, many women bear terrible menstrual cramps and pain during the sexual intercourse. Ramifications from endometriomas take place seldomly. But if a large endometrial cyst busts, then the material that it consist will leak into the pelvic cavity. This can also lead to the bleeding in the inner organs. These materials of the cyst can also fall over the surface of other pelvic organs such as uterus, intestines, bladder and fallopian tubes. Due to which the formation of scar tissue on other organs takes place. This can also lead to the problems of fertility.

Women suffering form the ovarian cyst may also experience the severe pain and discomfort during the sexual intercourse. Most probably pain occurs in the lower part of the abdominal near vagina and also in the lower back.

Don’t ever ignore,
1000
if you feel any of the above symptoms or any type of unusual change in your body. If it happens, then one should consult a doctor and should take better treatment for the ovarian cyst pain.
