There are countless medical approaches to ovarian cyst treatment. Ovarian cysts affect most women at least once in their lives, causing a broad range of symptoms from stomach pain to infertility.

Often, birth control pills are recommended, but these do not truly treat the root cause but instead only the symptoms.
A common course of action to deal with altered insulin functioning during PCOS and ovarian cysts is the prescription of an oral medication used frequently to treat type 2 diabetes: Metformin. Metfromin is still being studied as a treatment for PCOS.
Because ovulation is disrupted many women who suffer from ovarian cysts and PCOS find it difficult to conceive. In this scenario, it is not uncommon for physicians to prescribe a medication that will induce ovulation. Clomiphene, an oral anti estrogen medication, is used to trigger ovulation synthetically.
Occasionally doctors will prescribe metformin alongside this treatment if Clomiphene does not work on it’s own. In the case that both treatments fail the patient may be put on gonadotropins an injectable medication which stimulates FSH ad LH- low hormones related to release of the egg from the follicle.
Of course, there are other treatments that, while “faster” are also more complex and as such, expensive. One such option is ovarian drilling. Here, an incision is made in the abdomen; an electrical current or laser is used to burn holes in enlarged follicles on the ovaries in order to trigger ovulation by reducing androgens. Although this surgery is done through a small incision, this does not mean that it is risk free.
Aparoscopic surgery is an ovarian cysts treatment in which the abdomen is filled with gas and a small incision is made to remove the cyst. Laparptpmy is slightly more invasive involving an incision in the stomach wall to remove the growth.

They're also sayign that single women and same sex couples should be offered the same deal as hetrosexual couples.
