I suggest that before you start raising the issues of single women and lesbians having children, you should consider what has actually been said in this debate. It is irrelevant whether someone is gay, straight, married or single, the issue at hand is whether they are chronically obese. Im sure that if a chronically obese lesbian wanted IVF, she would be told the same as a straight, married obese woman.
To use the examples of lesbians and single women, to debunk the debate is redundant, homophobic and prejudice.
I also find your approach and comments on gay people's desire for children uninformed and extremley naive.
If anything, we should be encouraging women to undertake such weight reduction, not only for IVF but also for their own personal health in the long term. Surely diet and exercise is not a bad thing to be encouraging.
Painful Ovarian Cyst?
About 6 weeks ago I ended up in the emergency room due to sever abdominal pain. After many hours and exams they found a large complex mass in my right ovary 6cm large. I coulden't even walk or stand up straight. The ER doctor discharged me and told me to see my gyn. I was put on birth control (loestrin 24). During my monthly I am bleeding large dark clots. I also have sharp sudden pains on my right side where the cyst is located. In May 2006 I had an ectopic pregnancy and i had a cyst removed during the surgery and it was located on the right side. Could this be polycystic ovarian syndrome. Why are my doctors no taking action. Should I get a second opinion?
