PCOS Relief
We live in a modern society where technology and progress are upheld as the very pinnacles of our success. In the last century alone, we as a society have managed to make a significant amount of progress and radical breakthroughs in a number of areas with concepts such as the internet, electricity and the automobile all notable examples of this. That said, despite our sophisticated technology, the powerful machinery and the wealth of information we have at our disposal, the grim truth of the matter is that there is a great deal we do not know about the world. This is especially galling in the context of the medical world because whilst doctors and the like all swear an oath to help their patients, health care professionals must sit helplessly as there is health condition after health condition which cannot be adequately treated.
A prime example of this is PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, a uniquely female health complaint which among other health risks, renders the women infertile which in turn makes the conception of a child a far more challenging task than it should or could be. To date, the medical world despite its best attempts remains as baffled as ever as to what precisely causes this health condition and they have had to rely on the trusted fall back position of ‘genetics’.
The PCOS progesterone relationship is an uncertain one and one that has divided medical opinion rather fiercely. Some physicians have been very zealous in trying to make the prescription of progesterone for PCOS much more commonplace, and there are just as many physicians out there trying to prevent the PCOS progesterone issue reaching the public domain.
The main issue revolves around ethics, because there is a whole load of concrete evidence this means that the doctors have to garner additional information about the PCOS progesterone dilemma through clinical trials and experiments. The bitter irony of the situation is that in order to obtain the most reliable and effective test results, the physicians would need to test on the general female public. However, in so doing so, they are potentially placing their patients at a significant degree of risk and where such risks may far outweigh the potential and actual benefits of such a course of action.
Thankfully, there are alternative and more credible methods of combating both the effects and symptoms of the health condition PCOS.
